Visit to Chennai Rail Museum
Our visit to the Chennai Rail Museum was a joyful learning experience for our children. From riding the toy train and exploring playful slides to observing trains of different colours, sizes, and types, every moment sparked curiosity and excitement. Travelling together as a group gave our children a beautiful first glimpse into the joy of shared journeys—much like a family outing—creating memories filled with laughter, togetherness, and wonder.

Sports Day
Sports Day at Samprati Early Years is planned as a developmental experience rather than a competitive event. The events included simple yet meaningful tasks such as carrying a cone, carrying a bucket of water, transferring water from a mug to a bucket, beading into small strings, and crawling through pathways. These activities foster gross motor and fine motor skill development.
Sports Day also nurtures emotional and social development. Children learn to follow instructions, wait for their turn, experience the joy of participation. The emphasis is always on effort, exploration, and self-belief rather than winning.

Pongalo Pongal
Samprati Early Years was transformed into a vibrant village set-up as we celebrated Pongal. Children arrived with their grandparents, along with parents, creating a beautiful intergenerational gathering. The celebration came alive through hands-on experiences—grandmothers demonstrated winnowing brown channa, grinding on the ammikkal, and drawing traditional kolams, while grandfathers joyfully participated in a pump-set water game. A charming photo corner near the hut-style set-up and a lively musical chair added to the festivities. The celebration concluded with traditional Pongal cooking, where grandparents lovingly added rice and dal to the Pongal pot, symbolising blessings and abundance. Winners from each activity received produce from our school harvest—spinach, pudina, karpooravalli, curry leaves, and pirandai—making the day truly rooted in tradition, gratitude, and togetherness.

Bharathiyar Birthday Celebrations
At Samprati Early Years, we celebrated the birth anniversary of Mahakavi Bharathiyar with joy, creativity, and cultural pride. Our children dressed up as Bharathiyar, filling the campus with adorable mini-poets in black jackets and the poet’s iconic white cap. A special photoshoot captured these memorable moments.
The children performed a circle dance to a Bharathiyar song, introducing them to his love for children and education. To honour his love for nature, we also created a bird-watching corner by placing bird images on the walls and trees for children to observe with curiosity.
Adding to the celebration, our teachers presented a heartfelt rendition of “Acham Illai Acham Illai,” creating an inspiring and uplifting atmosphere.

Parents Workshop - 2
Our second Parent Workshop was held in December. Parents were then divided into three teams and engaged in nature-based activities: Story from the Forest encouraged creativity, imagination, language development, and expressive skills as parents used leaves to create and narrate stories.
Treasure Hunt focused on observation, problem-solving, teamwork, and environmental awareness as parents identified and collected materials from the campus. Nature’s Orchestra promoted creativity, rhythm and collaboration as parents created and presented music using natural objects. The workshop concluded with updates on upcoming events, strengthening our home–school partnership through shared experiences of joyful learning.
